Mr. Nguyen Hung Manh – Chairman of the Board


mr_manhMr. Nguyen Hung Manh is a co-founder of Saigon Capital. Manh has over 10 years of experience in the banking and investment industry. He is the Vice Chairman, co-founder and former CEO of An Binh Commercial Joint Stock Bank, one of the fastest growing and most successful joint stock banks in Vietnam doing business with many local small and medium companies. Prior to founding and running An Binh Bank, Manh was the General Director of Hanoi Building Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Habubank), one of the most successful joint stock banks in Ha Noi.

 

Before that, Manh was a senior officer at the Department of External Affairs in Ho Chi Minh City and a commercial officer at Petro Vietnam Company. Manh is a pioneer in the “buy and build” investment approach in Vietnam by taking the lead in Hanoi Building Commercial Joint Stock Bank to acquire Quang Ninh Rural Commercial Joint Stock Bank in 1999. In 2001, Manh acquired An Binh Rural Commercial Bank and then built the bank into today’s An Binh Commercial Joint Stock Bank. Being a key person of An Binh Bank, Manh has contributed significantly to the success and growth of the bank. At An Binh Bank, he successfully led the largest issuance of corporate bonds for EVN (Electricity of Vietnam) with a total value of over US$61 million. Manh has recently led a successful transaction for An Binh Bank to sell 15% of its shares to Maybank, one of the largest banks in Malaysia.

 

Manh holds a Master’s degree in Economic Development from Ohio University (USA) and a BA in English Language from the Foreign Language University of Ha Noi.

 

 

Ms. Ngo Thi Thu Trang, Member of the Board of Directors


ms_trangMs. Ngo Thi Thu Trang is the Deputy General Director – in charge of finance and investment of Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk), a co-founder of Saigon Capital.

 

Trang has extensive experience in financial and investment management. She has successfully carried out many investment projects on behalf of Vinamilk. She is now a Member of the Board of Directors of Vpack Company and Chairperson of the Board of Representatives of VF2 Fund. She is also a former board member of VF1 Fund.

 

Trang holds an MBA from Open University, Vietnam.


 

Ho Thuy Nga – Member of the Board of Directors

 

ms_ngaMs. Ho Thuy Nga’s capital market expertise is in asset and liability management, and funding and hedging structuring. In her previous job as Treasurer and Head of Trading and Investment at the top-tier bank, Vietnam International Bank (VIB), Nga successfully underwrote two bond issuances for two large companies listed on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange: the Ho Chi Minh Infrastructure & Development Joint Stock Company (“CII”) and the Minh Phu Seafood Joint Stock Company (“MPC”). Prior to VIB, Nga succeeded in setting up the first foreign-owned consumer finance company in Vietnam for the Prudential Group in 2005.

 

During her time working at Citigroup, Deutsche Bank AG, and JP Morgan Chase, she contributed to the banks’ successes in the Global Markets trading business. Nga originated the first oil hedging deal for Holcim Cement Group in 1998. She has also worked on numerous assignments in the United States in the custody business and global treasury. Nga has strong relationship within the banking industry as well as with international and local corporations.

 

Nga graduated with honors in International Trade from the Foreign Trade University in Ho Chi Minh City, and obtained the Professional Financial Analysis Certificate from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
